Mahathir: Hudud not for MalaysiaFormer premier Dr Mahathir Mohamed today lashed out against the idea of implementing hudud laws in the country, arguing that it is simply unacceptable.Speaking during a question-and-answer session after delivering his speech on separation of powers in Putrajaya, he said that the country would face problems if the Islamic criminal law is carried out although in the Quran - the Muslim holy book - justice is clearly spelled out.
信仰不同刑罰各異‧大馬不宜施回教法
（布城）敦馬哈迪認為，馬來西亞不適合實施回教法，因此這項法律對回教徒及非回教徒而言，十分不公平。
他舉例，如果一名華人及一名馬來人同時偷竊，根據回教法律，非回教徒只是監禁2個月，但是回教徒則被斷肢。
他說，回教法闡明，若一名女子被強姦，必須有4名證人出庭證明，試問如果真有4人親眼目睹強姦案，為何不施以援手，那是甚麼樣的社會？
